THE IDEA
In 2016, the entrepreneurial couple Klaus and Steffi Meffert realized the idea of opening a barrier-free and handicapped-accessible four-star hotel with an upscale culinary restaurant. Today, Otto-Meffert-Straße 1 is home to both the Leonardo Hotel and ‘La Cave’ Restaurant & Wine Bar. The location of the hotel in the industrial area of Bad Kreuznach is ideal for business travelers from large companies such as Meffert AG Farbwerke, Michelin Reifenwerke or KHS GmbH.

ABOUT US
“Our ‘La Cave’ concept always puts something good on the plate and a fine drop in the glass,” says hostess Steffi Meffert.
Our idea is to bring together good food, excellent wines and people from different cultures in Bad Kreuznach.
Our young team offers regionally and seasonally inspired cuisine – light, fresh and always using the best local ingredients. German classics complement the upscale menu, whose products preferably come from the region.
The open-plan “La Cave Restaurant & Wine Bar” offers a cozy and modern atmosphere. The adjoining sun terrace complements the dining room in fine weather and invites you to enjoy an after-work drink in the lounge area.
HOTEL
“Our hotel stands for sustainable enjoyment and a feel-good atmosphere,” says Klaus Meffert, owner.
With more than 90 stylishly furnished hotel rooms, a 450m² event area and an upscale restaurant, the Leonardo Hotel Bad Kreuznach is an ideal destination for all discerning travelers. The W-LAN connection, Sky programs and sufficient parking spaces are available free of charge. There are also 2 chargeable e-charging stations in the parking lot directly in front of the hotel. The construction of a Supercharger facility has been commissioned and is expected to be available for public use from the beginning of 2025.
A special flair, the local connection and loving details make the hotel a place of well-being. The offer is complemented by a beautiful spa area, a Medi-Stream massage table and a fitness room.
Our modern building services ensure optimum fresh air circulation throughout the building. The 5-storey hotel was built in 2018 with CO²-neutral building technology. You can find the geothermal energy concept here.

Cooking with body and soul! Our cuisine is and remains something special. It is Mediterranean, aromatic, but also “typically German”. Enjoy a balanced and light cuisine that does not rely on luxury, but on fresh and regional food, handmade fonds and fine contrasts. Always perfectly matched to our wine offerings.

Whether it’s Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day or Christmas, our chef comes up with special menus every year.
Our kitchen team will also spoil you with a multi-course menu at our dinner shows such as the murder mystery dinner or the musical dinner.
Our Wine
Wine is our passion! A good bottle of wine is at the center of our gastronomic concept for wine connoisseurs, wine lovers and those who want to become one. In our air-conditioned wine cabinet, which is over eight meters long, you can admire a treasure trove of high-quality wines, preferably from Bordeaux, Spain and Italy. You can enjoy the wines of many well-known winegrowers from our region.
Our house wine in the second vintage, Deuxièmè Cuvée, made from white and gray Burgundy, is produced and bottled by the Anette Closheim winery.
‘La Cave’ with the best wine cellar in Bad Kreuznach. On special request and by prior arrangement, treasures from our Bordeaux collection can be selected and purchased.
BAR and LOUNGE
The spacious lobby bar has two generously open lounge areas with comfortable, stylish seating for relaxing and a long, inviting bar. Enjoy a cocktail or long drink in the evening.

We offer the perfect setting for your event for up to 400 people.
Our 450m² attractive and multifunctional event area with state-of-the-art audiovisual conference technology is ideal for celebrations and conferences of all kinds. Together with you, we will prepare your event professionally and with great attention to detail – from the selection of drinks, the menu or buffet to the table decorations.
The glass fronts ensure a light-flooded ambience for your conferences, receptions or banquets in a stylish atmosphere. All conference rooms are accessible from the outside and therefore also have a usable outdoor area.
The separate Bordeaux room can be booked for small groups of up to ten people.
